Appointment of David Ells and Bill Conran Announced

Raleigh, NC (USA), February 2024 - With over fourteen years of combined leadership experience working with SaaS-based learning technologies, David Ells and Bill Conran are Open LMS's new senior leaders. Open LMS, a leading provider of open source learning management systems, is delighted to announce David Ells as the company's new Managing Director. Additionally, joining the esteemed core leadership team is Bill Conran as newly appointed Head of Sales.

Both David and Bill, with a combined 14+ years of leadership experience working with SaaS-based learning technologies, are joining from Watershed, Open LMS's sibling company within the Learning Technologies Group (LTG) portfolio.

In the last five years, David Ells has led Watershed's 175% growth in its learning analytics platform business. With a strong and extensive technology background, he has been in the eLearning industry for the last 15+ years, having started out in 2008 with eLearning standards and interoperability specialists Rustici Software, also part of LTG.

Bill Conran joins Open LMS with over seven years of expertise as Head of Sales, Business Development, and Strategy at Watershed. Prior to that, he spent eight years as Vice President, Global Strategy & Business Development, at Underwriters Laboratories (now known as UL Solutions).
