Sally-Ann MooreParis (F), January 2018 - A big hello and "Happy New Year" to all the Checkpoint readers across Europe and the world.

Introducing Learning Technologies France: an 18 year old show that is brand new

This is our first ever special edition in the great media resource that is CHECK.point eLearning. I am the founder of eLearnExpo series of events (Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, Moscow and Hong Kong), the main one being Paris started in 2001. In 2006 the French event became I-Learning forum and went from strength to strength to become the leading enterprise eLearning show in the Francophone world.

During that time it also became a major forum for the digitalisation national education and language learning and today covers all aspects of digital learning. Last January my dream came true and we were able to merge forces with the best eLearning show in the world : Learning Technologies London. Thanks to investment and resources from London (*), we have been able to bring Learning Technologies France event to you, bigger, better and bolder than ever before.

Room 2 – E-Learning for lifelong learning and professional development in the community – again with powerful case studies, expert moderators and fascinating debates on soft skills, vocations, accreditation and the digital transformation of the adult learning centres across france.

Room 3 – Special Conference tracks: International Thought Leadership (In English), Language Learning Conference (With case studies and pedagogical innovations specific to language learning) and Latest Innovations in Digital Learning, Neuroscience and Instructional Design

Two open theatres of 70 seats each have been placed in the middle of the exhibition, where technology and product demonstrations will take place over the two days. The demonstrations have been organised by category to help visitors plan their day.

Theatre demonstration categories include:

  • LMS for large organisations
  • LMS/LCMS for SME and Education, Open source LMS
  • Content Authoring and Content Management Tools

One of the main objectives of the event is to break down the barriers for the 90% of companies and organisations in France that have still not made the leap into eLearning. We aim to show through case studies, sharing clinics, forums, demonstrations just how easy, beneficial, cost effective and engaging eLearning can be whatever the subject matter.

You don’t have to speak French to get a lot out of this international show. There is a whole conference room dedicated to latest ideas and case studies in English; plus a majority of the exhibitors speak English, work in English and serve clients across the European spectrum. So please feel welcome and register for your badge today!

I look forward to seeing you at the show and the pleasure of meeting and exchanging with you on this fascinating and vital subject.
