The New Normal

The Acceleration of Digital Transformation in HR and L&D

Event 2019Munich (GER), October 2020 - The global HR and L&D communities are meeting for Speexx's first-ever hybrid Speexx Exchange event, taking place on 02 December, the opening day of OEB global. This is the tenth edition of Speexx Exchange.

Speexx has confirmed an initial handful of speakers for its annual Speexx Exchange conference, which will explore the acceleration of digital transformation in this "new normal." Top industry experts and thought leaders in the fields of HR and L&D will be coming together (either in person in Berlin or via video) to discuss best practices and lessons learned surrounding fundamental changes happening in the workplace - everyone shifting to all digital almost overnight.

Similar to other years, more than 200 HR and talent management delegates from around twenty countries will assemble for insightful conversations about learning transformation and technology. One key difference this year is the format: In addition to hosting an in-person event at the InterContinental Hotel Berlin (complying with all safety and social distancing regulations), Speexx will combine the physical with virtual - attendees can join via the Speexx interactive video platform from wherever they are in the world. Indeed, attendees can determine whether they'd like to show up in person or whether they'd feel more comfortable participating virtually - both experiences will be interactive and valuable.

The event will once again be moderated by Laura Overton, international speaker, author, and facilitator, as well as Founder and former CEO of Towards Maturity. Laura will provide evidence-informed insights that pull together lessons from our ten years of Exchange and ten months of the pandemic and will facilitate both online and offline conversations surrounding this "new normal" and what the acceleration of digital transformation means for HR and L&D.

"Ever since the pandemic started, it feels like someone pressed the fast-forward button for digital transformation," said Laura Overton. "And L&D and HR have been right in the middle of it. We have had to adapt to new ways of working and to shift our offerings overnight, while supporting our organizations to do the same. Mistakes will have been made, alongside incredible progress. As we move into 2021, we have to make time to reflect on, learn from, and celebrate what we've achieved to date. Moving forward, we need to create foundations for a more secure, sustainable new digital normal, and this tenth Speexx exchange will help us to do that."

Speakers at this year's event represent a variety of nationalities and companies, spanning healthcare, professional social networks, automotive/manufacturing, and more. A detailed program with speaker bios is available on the Speexx Exchange website, which is constantly being updated with new additions to the agenda.
