The State of Learning Technologies 2024
Saarbrücken (GER), August 2024 - The annual State of Learning Technologies 2024 report is now available from imc Learning, an eLearning technologies leader that provides L&D expertise to the world's most prominent brands. This must-read industry report highlights trends and challenges in corporate training based on a survey of senior enterprise L&D decision makers.
The survey was completed by over 500 senior L&D professionals in the UK. One key finding is the prioritisation of job-role-specific training, which was emphasised by 71% of respondents. Blended learning formats were also widely adopted, with 62% of companies integrating these into their training programmes.
The report also identifies several current challenges in L&D. Fragmented learning platforms and inadequate training quality are significant issues, affecting 53% of respondents. LMS usability is a concern for 31%, indicating a need for more intuitive systems. The use of data-driven skills analysis is more prevalent, with 64% of respondents leveraging learning data to inform their strategies. AI integration is on the rise, enhancing the ability to create and roll out training content quickly. The report discusses the importance of sustaining learner engagement through interactive training methods, gamification, and social learning.
