Virtual College Celebrates One-millionth Learner

Illkey (UK), June 2013 - Ilkley-based Virtual College, a pioneer of learning online, recently passed the milestone of one million online learners. The company is predicting over 25% growth in sales for 2013 and remains confident that its unique proposition and market position will see the business through an exciting period ahead.

"Growth in the use of our online learning solutions has exploded over the last few years. It's only two years since we celebrated our five-hundred-thousandth learner," commented Rod Knox, CEO and co-founder, Virtual College. "Online learning solutions are now becoming an integral part of training in most organisations and the preferred method of learning for the growing population of 'digital natives'. Virtual College will continue to invest in quality, staff, new technology, and customer service to remain at forefront," said Rod.

Virtual College made a name for itself as a pioneer in the field of eLearning, delivering the first electronic NVQs before building its sector-specific online learning “eAcademies”.

"Virtual College has established a unique position in the market, with a deep understanding of the unique learning requirements in each sector and a valuable library of sought-after courses," added Knox.

He continued, "We now provide online learning content and training-delivery solutions to almost every sector in the UK - from healthcare, to manufacturing, education and catering."

Virtual College's service is backed up by an experienced team of over one hundred UK-based staff, and its online course directory includes over two hundred titles delivered via the company's learning management system.
