Open Call

Submit Your Innovation until 30 July

HoTELBrussels (BE), July 2013 - The Open Call for eLearning innovators aims at spotting "innovations" that deal with concrete technology-enhanced learning activities. These can be ideas, research results, teaching practices, and any other innovation that deals with using ICT for education at large. The most interesting innovations will be validated and eventually tested within three virtual laboratories (learning exploratorium labs) in the fields of higher education, corporate learning, and informal learning through professional networks that the HoTEL project, with the support of FP7, has set up.

The objective of the exercise is to transform bright new ideas and research results into mainstream practices and to disseminate them throughout Europe.

The possibility of testing your "innovation" in real world settings through the laboratories is only one reason to join and participate in the call. The Open Call is also a great opportunity to showcase your creativity and solutions to a large audience of innovation experts and stakeholders.

All submitted entries will be reviewed by an evaluation committee led by Daniel Burgos of Universidad Internacional de la Rioja (UNIR), Anthony Camilleri of the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning (EFQUEL) and Elmar Husmann of the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG).

The review criteria include how innovative and reusable the entry is, its commitment and success criteria, and whether there is an existing audience or actual use of the application.
