GOSHLIC 2015

NHS and Healthcare L&D Conference Announced

Berkshire (UK), January 2015 - The second Great Ormond Street Hospital Learning Innovations Conference (GOSHLIC 2015) will take place on 11 March at the UCL Institute. Aimed at anybody in a learning-and-development role at the NHS or other healthcare institutions, the organisers are promising an exciting lineup of speakers and technology innovations.

The event is a key part of the Great Ormond Learning and development (GOLD) initiative, designed to encourage and broadcast new and exciting ways of learning within the NHS and other healthcare environments.

With fantastic speakers spread across three streams, the conference programme is designed to inform and entertain.

  • Stream 1: Innovation and theory: Hear some leading authorities on the latest developments in learning and learning technologies.
  • Stream 2: Learning at Work: Revealing case studies, processes, and practices from other NHS and healthcare professionals
  • Stream 3: Tool Discovery Zone: As well as free training on a wide variety of tools, you can discover more about the vendors’ latest ways to make your people learn.

Commented GOSH's Learning Innovations Lead, Cat Oxley, "The first event run just over a year ago was a great success, with people attending from all over the UK. As a result of this success, we have doubled the size of the event, which should enable us to give some real insights into learning innovations in the NHS."

Don Taylor will be chairing the gathering, and Ascot Communications is producing it on Great Ormond Street's behalf. Commented Ascot's Martin Belton, "One of the reasons why the event is so strong is because we have had some great commitment from Great Ormond Street to make this a real 'blue-riband' learning opportunity. We're also delighted to be able to hold it at the UCL Institute in Bloomsbury, which promises to provide a great environment to network and make new friends."

GOSHLIC 2015 will have its own mobile app for all attendees, with all the key event information about the presenters. Users will be able to chat online with other attendees and speakers to get even more out of this great event. After the conference, attendees will also be able to access all the presentations featured in the conference for personal reference.
