Villach (AT), May 2007 – The 10th International Conference on Interactive Computer-Aided Learning (ICL2007) will take place in Villach, Austria from 26-28 September 2007. It is organized by the Carinthia Tech Institute. As regards contents, ICL2007 will focus on MashUp Technologies, Collaborative Learning Enrivonments, and ePortfolios. The Call for Papers for the three special tracks School and IT, MashUp Technologies, and ePortfolios is now open.
ICL2007 is an interdisciplinary event that focuses on the exchange of relevant trends and research results. Practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements of interactive computer-aided learning will also be presented. Therefore, pilot projects, applications and products are also welcome.
Among the topics of interest are:
- Web-based learning
- Lifelong learning
- Intelligent content
- Mobile learning environments and applications
- Computer-aided language learning (CALL)
- MashUp technologies
- Applications of the Semantic Web
- ePortfolios
- Evaluation and outcomes assessment
The conference will offer various types of sessions, including paper sessions (presentation followed by panel discussion), interactive demonstrations, and poster sessions. Other opportunities to participate in the event are running a workshop or tutorial, organizing a thematic session, or exhibiting.
There will be three special tracks on the topics of ePortfolios, MashUp Technologies, and School and IT. The conference organizers are asking prospective participants to submit papers in the form of extended abstracts. These need to be submitted using the Electronic Submission Page. The extended abstract should be up to two pages, informing the programme committee about the aim of the approach (study, tool) reported, experiences gained, and the form and result of evaluations conducted. Proposals for tutorials and the exhibition may also be submitted in short form.
The deadline for proposals for tutorials, demos and exhibition need to be handed in no later than 1 June 2007. |
