WoLLNET Project to Use BTL eAssessment Tools
Shipley (UK), March 2008 - BTL Group Ltd, a leading UK supplier of technology solutions for learning and assessment has announced that has been selected as the 'technology partner' in the Workplace Literacy, Language and Numeracy Evaluation Toolkit Project (WoLLNET). The project will be funded by the European Commission’s Leonardo da Vinci Sub programme (57.2%), the London Development Agency (21.4%), and the Learning and Skills Council (21.4%).

The aim of the two-year project is to research, trial, and develop a web-based, user friendly toolkit that will enable employers, providers, and unions to evaluate the impact of workplace basic skills (literacy, language, and numeracy) training programmes on learning, individual work performance, and organisational performance.

BTL will be providing the project with a website, evaluation, analysis, and reporting tools. For the project, BTL will be joining partners from Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, and Switzerland.

Dominic Rapley, WoLLNET project coordinator from Skills for Work, states, "We are absolutely delighted to have BTL as a technical partner in this exciting, innovative, and important project. Their experience and expertise in creating web-based tools has already played a vital role by broadening our view of what this project will be able to achieve."
