School web 2.0 is now close to achieving compatibility with the Spanish National Digital Resource Bank Agrega.


The e-ducativa School web 2.0 solution, which has already been installed in some 3,000 schools spread across four regions of Spain, is an easy and manageable way to create a real sense of community among students and teachers. In using integrating technology, we are enabling equal access to high-quality education in urban and rural areas, encouraging collaboration between students and teachers within and beyond a class.

e-ducativa School web 2.0 allows schools located in different areas to harness the power of one-to-one learning as well as virtual collaboration. The platform offers each school a website manager, an interactive map linking the user to other schools websites, a blog manager, a virtual classroom manager, and a repository of educational materials.

The repository has three levels: personal (for teachers to store their content), local (for each school), and global (where all schools share their content). This gives teachers the chance to share content from the Internet, as well as content they have created themselves.

This open source system can be deployed anywhere in any major projects. The system will shortly be compatible with Agrega and will therefore be offering the four autonomous regions that are currently using school web 2.0 (Andalucía, Aragon, Castilla y León, and Murcia) the possibility of sharing material at both the local and national level.
