Gothaer Insurance Commissions M.I.T e-Solutions

Friedrichsdorf (GER), December 2015 - The Cologne-based Gothaer Versicherungsbank (Insurance Bank) WaG has commissioned the Friedrichsdorf eLearning specialist M.I.T to produce compliance-learning programs. In the future, the Gothaer company will be using two online trainings on the topics of The Code of Conduct and Corruption Prevention from M.I.T.

Approximately 5,700 employees of one of Germany’s largest insurance companies will work through the programs to establish the company’s own guidelines for ethical and legal conduct. Furthermore, the interactive and multimedia courses are designed to sensitize employees to situations that, if not dealt with appropriately, could result in non-compliance with these guidelines.

To achieve this goal, both eLearning courses will be adapted to the insurance company’s existing Code of Conduct. The Gothaer company decided on M.I.T because their combination of cost-effective standard compliance courses with custom adaptations best met the needs for comprehensive employee sensitization with consistent quality.

"The goal is to create comprehensive awareness in our company on the topic of compliance and in particular for the contents of the Code of Conduct, the rules for dealing with gifts and invitations, as well as the responsible contacts. It was therefore important to us to have a partner that would supports us in the transfer of knowledge in order to appropriately educate, train, and sensitise the employees", says Dirk Pooshoff, the Gothaer Chief Compliance Officer.

The learning programs commissioned by Gothaer are multilingual and part of a multiple award-winning learning library on compliance, company security, and healthy management that is continuously being expanded by M.I.T. It supports companies comprehensively in sensitising employees on company-critical topics and enables them to carry out compulsory trainings sustainably and at a reasonable cost.
