Security Standards

IMC successfully attains the ISO 27001 certification

Saarbrücken (GER), February 2016 - ISO 27001 offers companies a systematic, structured approach to better safeguard the privacy and integrity of their data and increase the availability of their IT systems. In order to fulfil ISO 27001 requirements, IMC AG prepared for about a year by implementing a number of different organisational and technical measures.

In particular, all members of staff working in support, hosting, and internal IT were trained in how to use the new security system. In December last year, IMC AG’s introduction and operation of a documented information-security-management system, which takes into account IT-related risks, was certified by ISO/IEC 27001 from the German Association for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS GmbH).

Dr Tobias Blickle, member of IMC’s Executive Board, is proud of IMC’s successful ISO certification, "The foundation of our business success lies in our approach to confidential customer data, particularly with regard to our cloud solutions. As a leading eLearning provider, it is even more important that our customers and partners know we fulfil the very highest security standards when it comes to their data, which is at times highly sensitive. Certification from a neutral party now confirms that we fulfil these standards."

Alongside this ISO 27001 certification, IMC AG’s ISO 9001 quality-management certification, which it has held since 2007, further underscores the company’s high standards of quality and professionalism. Both certifications are subject to an annual external audit process, which therefore ensures the management system’s continuous improvement.
