| Worldwide Training | PRINT | | Nespresso Relies on Swiss Software for Learning |
Baar (CH), April 2008 – Nestlé Nespresso, the worldwide pioneer and market leader in pre-portioned coffee, supports the growing importance of international training management with an online solution from Switzerland. The i-qbox Human Performance Suite provided by Comartis allows Nespresso to offer learning material to its growing employee population globally and enable an effective training-management solution.
Nespresso sets high standards through providing its employees with innovative and efficient training programmes, particularly where the brand is concerned. The aim is that its learning and development offerings and the investment made in its employees is parallel to the high image and standard that have gained the brand’s and the coffee’s success. Learning and development is part of the company’s critical success factors to achieve its ambitious targets.
The Challenge of Worldwide Training
With more than 2,500 employees in over 25 countries, many different languages and high growth rates, providing consistent and top-class training to reach this rapidly growing employee base is a great challenge. The company, with its headquarters in Paudex near Lausanne, Switzerland, therefore has decided to provide the major part of its education online. With this solution, travelling time and expenses are distinctly reduced, whilst still providing the ultimate learning opportunities for employees.
A Swiss Company with the right Product
Since 1995 Comartis has specialized in engineering online solutions for company training and education. From the first solutions focussing on online tests, the i-qbox Human Performance Suite has developed significantly over the years. The modular solution now offers all the special features of an automated Learning Quality Management and Competence Management System.
Nespresso – the latest International Client
Comartis is very pleased to have been chosen by Nespresso as a strategic partner. As CEO Omar Lahyani states, "To have Nespresso as a new client re-emphasizes the quality and competitiveness of our solution. From this co-operation we are hoping to gain significant impulses for the North American and North African markets where Comartis has subsidiaries and several operative installations."
Genevieve James, Learning & Development Manager, is convinced that the i-qbox Human Performance Suite will provide the right foundation for further growing the function and responding to the needs of the expanding global training team and employees. "During the evaluation phase, Comartis has proven to be not only a technically competent, but also a highly flexible service provider. Comartis understands how to deal with the demands and expectations of a rapidly growing international company."
Since 2006, Nespresso has implemented the e-Testing module of the i-qbox solution and sees the i-qbox Human Performance Suite as a natural step towards implementing a holistic Learning Management System to meet its ongoing requirements.
