London (UK), July 2010 - As instructional designers know, writing effective test questions is one of the most difficult parts of their job. To provide assistance with this tricky task, Saffron Interactive has released a bank of questions that can be used to support compliance training courses.
Questions must not only test understanding but must also be credible, and creating plausible wrong answers is probably the most difficult assignment of all. To help Instructional Designers in this task, Saffron has made four sets of questions available that are based on British Data Protection and Competition Law.
The question bank is available for free in PDF format or as a plug-in for Saffron's Assessment toolkit. Over the next few months, Saffron plans to add Health and Safety, Diversity, and Disability Awareness assessments to the question bank.
Saffron also offers an Assessment Workbench to quickly create tests, assessments, and quizzes. Users can choose from a selection of question styles to tailor the assessment to their needs and customise the look and feel of the questions, with a choice of colour schemes and the option to add images. Workbench is SCORM compliant and can be linked to an LMS to keep track of users’ results.
