Certify Your Courses and Programmes with ECB-Check

Bonn (GER), March 2016 - The ECB-Check certification has been developed with the aid of more than 65 organisations worldwide and has been running quality checks of eLearning courses and programmes for more than five years. So far, ECB-Check has awarded almost forty certifications to more than twenty organisations, including the FAO, the World Bank Institute, Germany's GIZ, the ITC-ILO, and many others.

The certification process is structured effectively and consists of an online self-assessment followed by a double-blind peer review.

The schedule for this year's round is as follows:

  • Registration and self-assessment are open until the end of May
  • Peer-review will occur during the month of June
  • Certificates will be awarded in July

Institutions that seek to certify their courses or programs this year should contact ECB-Check and register.

The ECB-Check initiative is a professional community of organisations that are interested in quality issues in the field of eLearning for capacity building. Organisations are able to join this community by signing a declaration of intent that demonstrates their interest and self- commitment in the area of quality in eLearning. This community offers an environment in which members can professionalise their own quality practices up to the point of certification of their programmes - and even their whole institution.
