This is supported by the results of the 2012 Educause study "Analytics in Higher Education." Jacqueline Bichsel, EDUCAUSE Senior Research Analyst and principal author of the report, explains that the advantages benefit the university and students alike. She also contends that Learning Analytics means a cultural change at the decision-making level, away from intuition-based approaches toward decisions based on data.
