New Offer of International Qualifications

London (UK), September 2016 - The Training Foundation, under the Training Accreditation Programme (TAP) has developed a wholly online, tutor-supported set of international qualifications offered by the Institute from 01 September 2016.

The British Institute for Learning & Development (BILD) has announced the BILD International Certificate in Training and the BILD International Diploma in Learning & Development.

Both qualifications are achieved through online, tutor-supported, self-study programmes whose content is closely aligned with the BILD’s international standards for learning and development. The qualifications modular courses are to be delivered by the Institute’s partner organisation, The Training Foundation, and qualification holders will be eligible for professional membership in the Institute.

Announcing this groundbreaking initiative, David Apparicio, Chair of the BILD, commented, “The BILD has long held the aspiration to see learning and development recognised as a profession and practitioners viewed as genuine professionals. Here in the UK, this has been largely achieved through our partnership with The Training Foundation’s Training Accreditation Programme (TAP), which has been uniquely recognised by two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation.

"Having seen the benefits of this skills programme in the UK, the BILD felt a responsibility to make it as accessible as possible to the worldwide community of training practitioners. This has led to today’s announcement of BILD’s two international qualifications. As an international-standards-setting body, we have been concerned to ensure that both qualifications deliver skills that are aligned to the BILD’s best-practice standards for learning and development.

"I am confident that they do, and would recommend trainers and training managers in any international location to benefit by enrolling on these unique programmes."
