Learning Technologies 2023

Living and Learning in a World of Technological Disruption

Robin Teigland, Professor at Chalmers University of TechnologyLondon (UK), March 2023 - Njeri Mwagiru and Robin Teigland are to provide the opening address at the upcoming Learning Technologies 2023 Conference, taking place 03-04 May in London.

Learning Technologies 2023 open with an address by Njeri Mwagiru, Senior Futurist at the Institute for Futures Research at Stellenbosch University Business School and Robin Teigland, Professor at Chalmers University of Technology and Co-founder Peniche Ocean Watch. The title is Successful Living and Learning in a World of Technological Disruption.

Learning Technologies Conference Chair, Donald H Taylor, asked, "We know the world is changing. How ready are you for it?

This inspiring blend of research and case studies will focus on the key shifts taking place and from them draw insights and practical takeaways to reframe how we look at the future."

Key challenges to be tackled include

  • Data and artificial intelligence - ChatGPT is just the most public iteration of the power of artificial intelligence (AI). AI will change a great deal about what we are doing in the field of L&D, but quite possibly not as you've anticipated.
  • Trust - is essential in the era of deep fakes and political volatility, and is the key component of the psychological safety we know a great learning culture requires. How can we support a trusting environment for both work and learning and how can we win trust ourselves?
