Virtual College

Free Infection Prevention and Control Online Course

Ilkley (UK), March 2020 - Virtual College has released a free infection prevention and control course in order to make sure the public have access to essential advice, such as hand-washing techniques, that is required at this time.

In response to government advice about slowing the spread of COVID-19, Virtual College has released a free short course providing information about infection prevention and control and details regarding what our responsibilities are. It provides a detailed 12-step hand-washing process, the key times that you must wash your hands, what to do if you feel unwell at work, and other key pieces of information.

The course, which was released on 09 March, is aimed at the public, and is accessible to all. It has been deliberately designed to be short and bite sized, ensuring that learners can quickly and easily absorb the information without losing too much of their time.

In order to ease people’s minds and anxieties, the company felt it was important to share this essential advice and raise awareness as to exactly what the public can do to help slow the spread of infection.

"At such uncertain times like these, we need to look out for each other. We wanted to do our part and do whatever we can to keep communities and society better informed and feeling safe and secure," explains Hannah Brindle, Managing Director at Virtual College.

The public have responded positively: at the time of writing, over 5,000 people have accessed the course.
